Best Dad Ever: Louis Tomlinson carries baby Freddie in his carrier as he and former flame Briana Jungwirth share parenting duties

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson proved he is every inch the doting dad as she spent the day with his baby son, Freddie once again earlier this week.

The 24-year-old looked as proud as punch as he carried his six-day-old in his carrier, while his former flame Briana followed closely behind.

Despite no longer being a couple, the pair are clearly keen to remain on amicable terms as they share parental duties over their adorable tot.

Louis, dressed in a striped jumper and his trademark skinny black jeans and Adidas trainers could be seen looking down at his son lovingly as he carried him out to the car.

Clearly besotted with his bundle of joy, Louis posted a shirtless Instagram shot of his son on Wednesday evening, in which he revealed his full name, Freddie Reign.

Louis captioned the heartwarming image, in which you could also see the tattoo enscribed across his chest: 'Meet my little lad, Freddie'.

Then minutes later he tweeted that the little tyke will carry his last name Tomlinson, writing: 'Freddie Tommo'.

Briana looked incredible on the day, despite having only given birth six days before.

Having already snapped back into shape, the beautiful new mother looked incredible in a black top and jeans with heeled ankle boots.

She slipped on a denim shirt over the top as she carried a cute leather backpack in her hand.

Shortly after, the British star, who is currently in California spending time with his newborn, added his gratitude to his fans for their well wishes: 'Thank you so much for the all nice messages :)'.

Fans of the Steal My Girl hitmaker have also picked up on the fact that his former 1D co-star Zayn Malik has liked a retweeted picture of Louis with Freddie on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Briana - who gave birth a week ago - also shared a photo of the baby boy on Instagram, revealing that his middle name is Reign.
