Rodrigo Bentancur settled at Boca despite Real Madrid talk - father

Reported Real Madrid target Rodrigo Bentancur is happy at Boca Juniors for the moment, according to his father.

Madrid have been tracking Uruguayan playmaker Bentancur, 18, according to  with Serie A side Juventus also said to have shown an interest.

The recently imposed transfer ban to cover the summer 2017 and January 2018 windows may force the Bernabeu outfit into moving quickly into the market this month, although the club have said they will appeal that sanction.

Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has confirmed that while Real Madrid have not made a formal bid for Rodrigo Bentancur, the Argentine club would consider offers for the €15 million-rated Uruguayan.

Madrid have been tracking the gifted playmaker according to reports in the Argentine media -- with Spanish newspaper Marca claiming on Tuesday that a €10m deal is close to being finalised -- while Serie A side Juventus have also been linked in the 18-year-old.

Boca Juniors forward Jonathan Calleri is nearing a move to Inter Milan, club president Daniel Angelici comfirmed on Monday.

Calleri, 22, helped Boca to a Primera Division title in 2015, scoring 10 times in 25 matches for the Argentine giants over the campaign.

In December, Calleri told reporters in South America the two clubs had reached an agreement and he would discuss terms with the Serie A leaders. Now, president Angelici has confirmed it a matter of time before a deal is sealed.

Uruguay international and River Plate midfielder Carlos Sanchez was named South America's Player of the Year by the area football writers in the annual poll done by Uruguay newspaper El Pais.

The 31-year-old is the first Uruguayan to win the prestigious award in 20 years and was singled out for a year in which he helped the Argentine side win Copa Libertadores, Recopa Sudamericana and the Suruga Bank...
