UAC releases first round offers to university hopefuls

MORE than 46,000 students from across Australia will learn whether they have received a main round university offer on Wednesday.

From 6pm, January 20, domestic university applicants will be able to view their offer via the University Admission

UAC’s participating institutions have made 44,344 main round offers, a decrease of 2,159 on last year. But UAC’s director of information services Kim Paino said universities were making more offers overall.


“In the last few years many institutions have increased the number of offers they make in the earlier rounds, which of course means there are less made in the main round,” Ms Paino said.


UAC received 82,597 domestic applications, a decrease on last year’s 86,035.


Universities had made 76,789 offers to date this year.


The next offer round will be on Tuesday, February 2.
