She was seen sobbing hysterically as she told her Celebrity Big Brother housemate Tiffany Pollard of her fears she was pregnant.
But Gemma Collins, who is currently dating criminal Stephen Mortimer, has now discovered she's not carrying a baby, despite her claims she was '100 per cent' pregnant' during a clip aired on on Bit On The Side.
'Gemma believed she was pregnant, but later found out that this wasn’t the case', a spokesperson for the Channel 5 show said.
'I'm 100 per cent pregnant. I know it, I know it, I know it. I'm excited but I'm nervous as well. I need a test.' she blurted out to 34-year-old Tiffany.
The New Yorker did everything in her power to keep the reality star calm and enquired: 'Are you s**tting?' in the hope of discovering some tell-tale signs.
Getting progressively more worked up, the Essex-born blonde said: 'I know my belly when it's fat, I'm used to it but this is something different. This is the pain... I'm having a baby I know I am.'
Rubbing her stomach, she added: 'No, I definitely am. I can feel it in me,' with Tiffany clarifying: 'If it's hard down there it's a sign.'
Gemma's spontaneous statement comes days after she had a meltdown on Tuesday night's episode of the popular Channel 5 show in which she admitted she's concerned she's never going to find a rich man to marry and bring up children with.
As tears rolled down her heavily done-up cheeks, the outspoken housemate said: 'I do wish I had someone who was financially stable to look after me so I could be free, and be myself. Someone to put petrol in my car so I ain't got to keep working like a dog. I'm 34 and no one's ever whisked me off my feet. I don't think it'll happen to me. It's going to be a long slog this life for me.'
'You deserve that. You’ll have him. And babies. You’ll have as many as you want. You’ll have a life and a family of your own,' Tiffany cooed as she tried to comfort her.
Gemma's had a tough time bearing children in the past and has lost two babies in the last five years - one by choice via an abortion in 2011 and she tragically suffered a miscarriage in 2012.
Meanwhile, during her time inside the famous house, her boyfriend has been thrown back behind bars for 28 days
Stephen - who previously spent two years in prison for grievous bodily harm (GBH) - handed himself into police on Tuesday after he breached his licence terms, which stated he must reside at his sister's home, by recently moving into Gemma's lavish abode in Brentwood, Essex.
Talking to The Sun, he said: 'I'm upset I can't be there as she walks out of the CBB house but I've waited for her, she can wait two weeks for me!'
Gemma's latest in-house outburst may be her most outrageous of the series after having stirred up drama aplenty for her fellow contestants with her outspoken ways.
So far, she's felt the wrath of John Partridge, Stephanie Davis and Christopher Maloney and been braded a 'monster' and 'the biggest bitch in the world'.
Most recently, she has riled up former Hollyoaks actress Stephanie as she delivered some home truths about her increasingly flirty relationship with Jeremy McConnell despite the fact she has a boyfriend on the outside.
Their latest confrontation saw them come to verbal blows over brandy in scenes which will air on Friday night's show.
'You know what, you're not worth it. You're absolutely vile as a person... don't take a pop at me when we're all having a nice night. You're a show! How old are you?' Steph seethed.
The troubled soap star received an official warning from Big Brother earlier in the week after threatening to punch 'f**king diva' Gemma during a particular heated row which was prompted by her and on-screen crush Jeremy getting close under in the covers in the bedroom in her presence.
'It's so wrong what you're doing, you've got a boyfriend,' Gemma said which caused the discussion to escalate.
'I can't wait for you to see yourself when you're out of here like what a horrible monster you are. Your attitude stinks, you're a diva and that's why no one's ever liked you' and 'who are ya? You're off TOWIE. What's your talent? Nothing,' Steph blasted.
Meanwhile, former X Factor contestant Christopher - who had formed a fond friendship with Gemma - was on the receiving end of her acid tongue as they both partook in a shopping budget task earlier in the week.
'He can fk himself. He's got to get some balls,' she blasted.
Additionally, she and John, 44, have far from seen eye-to-eye and their relationship remains turbulent after she called him out for nominating former addict Darren Day on the basis he feared him picking up old habits as he'd been smoking while in the house.
After admitting the bolshie star had reduced him to tears following her explosive row with Steph, she advised him to get over his 'obsession' with her.
He'd previously told his housemates in private: 'I just don't think I've ever met someone as selfish and self-obsessed in my life. She is a monster, that is the only word for her.'
