They say life goes on and on Wednesday Vanessa Hudgens found time to focus on her own well-being as she copes with the death of her father.
The actress and singer was spotted going to the gym in LA a day after organizing funeral arrangements at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burbank with her younger sister Stella.
The 27-year-old hid her eyes behind large sunglasses as she arrived for her workout carrying a purple yoga mat and a bottle of water.
The former High School Musical star wore a pair of loose-fitting flowery pants and what appeared to be furry slippers for her gym trip.
She added a black sweatshirt with the legend: 'Mercury was in f***ing retrograde.'
She wore her dark locks in a ponytail and gave a weak smile as she walked through the parking lot to her vehicle.
Vanessa announced her father's death via Twitter on Sunday morning and decided to go on with her performance as Rizzo in Fox's Grease: Live! that evening.
'I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer,' she tweeted. 'Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers.'
'Tonight, I do the show in his honor,' she said.
Despite her personal heartbreak, Vanessa wowed fans and critics alike with her portrayal of the character made famous in the 1978 movie version by Stockard Channing.
After eight weeks of grueling rehearsals to prepare for the live event, she admitted she was sad that the whole thing was finally over.
'Thank you to everyone who watched & supported me last night. Doing Grease:Live was one of the most incredible experiences and I'm so glad you guys liked it as much as I did. Till next time Riz,' she wrote on social media on Monday.
Vanessa first revealed her father, a retired firefighter, had cancer last August at the 2015 Industry Dance Awards.
Accepting an award, she told the audience: 'Last year, my boyfriend, Austin [Butler], lost his mom, Lori, to cancer, and my dad has just been recently diagnosed with stage four cancer.'
'Let me tell you, I hate cancer. I hate cancer with every cell of my being....... it really takes a strong person and a strong family to be able to help those out who are going through this.'
